At the bottom where you enter the Alcazaba a Roman amphitheatre was discovered and excavations are ongoing so we stopped for a bit of a look.
Picasso was born in Málaga and lived here for the early part of his life. We decided to walk past the house where he lived. There are a couple of small museums here with some of his work but his best work is in Madrid, at the Reina Sofia where we went last week, and in Barcelona, so we decided to give them a miss.
This afternoon we went for a walk and a paddle at the beach. On our way back we looked in some of the shops at the marina and I bought a dress.
This evening we went to Alumbre for dinner. The lovely waitress helped us with the menu as it was in Spanish only and she made some suggestions. We had a lovely starter which is a local specialty - a cold soup made with almonds which looked a bit like whipped cream. We also had snail croquettes and paella.
